Coral Con this weekend

We are heading to frights and frags this weekend and looking forward to making some purchases. If you are going what is on your wish list? Any vendors that are "cant' miss"?

We will be looking to pic up some of the harder to find zoas and possibly a plate coral.

Eh. I didn't make it today. I stopped by last night while a friend was setting up.

I made it yesterday. There were a lot of vendors and a few of them had some very impressive stuff. I was shopping for aquaman monti and found it! Beach bum monti was on my list as well but only 3 pieces there for $300 each. LOL, ill wait!

Also grabbed a green staghorn and a yellow octospawn. $15 octospawn is tough to pass up.

If you are bringing stuff home from the show PLEASE!!! DIP IT WELL!!! corals are moving from tank to tank in that place like a swingers party!! Coooties!!!!

LFS were buying from the out of towners. Great deals. Literally starting the dip now for our goodies. Great deals and some great people there. My hope is it was worth while for the vendors and that they do it again.

I made a huge mistake while picking up some cool stuff for me!
made the mistake of trying to haggle on some Oregon Tort frags that had lineage! guy pulls up behind me and buys the whole frag tank including the torts :headwally:

But I did get:
Cali Tort - Southside Corals
Pearl berry- Southside Corals
GF's Rainbow Montipora - a better fish bowl
Rainbow Millie- Dr. Frag it

Also got a few other pieces for a friends tank mostly zoanthids (Rasta's, L.A. Lakers) a torch, and a Yuma.

We picked up:
Crazy colored plate coral and acanthastrea rotundoflora from Pacific East
4 Zoas (Utter Chaos, Pacman, two others) from Reef Chicks
2 Ricordias from GotCoral

Met some really nice people today and there was some beautiful corals there. I would hate to see what kind of deals you could pick up close to 5. We only had $100 budget and did well and we left at 2:15.

Oh brother I stayed until they began packing up! spent close to $400. Money well spent in my book :lol:

The only coral that I could not haggle near the end (which I could understand why) is a Orange Passion acro that was at $100 for a half inch.

He had a great looking set up for sure and some beautiful frags.

The utter chaos zoa, pacman zoa and one other zoa are still closed up from their morning meal. Here is most of what we picked up. Lights and camera phone don't do the plate justice.

I picked up a nice mini colony of pearl berry acro, vampire morph zoa, JF Mr Fuzzy green pavona, Indo gold torch, emeralds on fire (multiple frags), quite a few different zoa frags, orange pavona and a few more things I can't remember.
