coral decalcification

I found iteresting short report in Science (30 March 2007:Vol.315.no.5820,p.1811); about coral polyps surviving decalcification. Just curious if anybody has accidentally replicated this experiment in his/her tank (keeping stony corals at low pH for longer time).
