I use CoralRX too. I'm not sure on the aptasia but I'm hoping your frags don't have aptasia growing on the small amount of plug left? Joe's Juice has done the job for me with aptasia....
usually if you have an aptasia on a plug that you can see if you use a piece of paper towel between your fingers and the aptasia it will allow you to grip it and pull that little bad boy right off . works great once you get a feel for it .
if the aiptasia isnt right on the coral itself just dab a little paste made up of kalkwasser (Mrs wages pickling lime) and water. leave it on for a few minutes and then scrape off the beast.
make sure none of the aiptasia remains at all or it might grow back.
I'd use a combination of the two techniques. Pull it off then spray any remaining with the kalk paste. I've done this in the past and the paste works good. As far as corals reacting badly, I'm not looking up all the SPS I've seen react bad but have not seen many threads on CoralRX causing this problem. It is typically interceptor that has the problems IME.
Have you used coral rx on a bubble Anenome before? I recently bought some coral and treated all the coral and the Anenome with coral rx without knowing I shouldn't have. Now I'm worried about the Anenome.
