coral dipping with bayer

From what I've gathered, yes it can.

BRS actually puts it in their top 3 recommended products for dipping.

I have no idea on mix ratios, or which particular product to use.

But yes, Bayer can be used

I measure it out very carefully - I pour it into whatever water filled container I'm using until it looks like skim milk.

I'm sure someone will chime in with a better (safer?) mix ratio than that, but it seems to work well for me.

I read this literally the first time and was wondering why measure the bayer carefully then pour it into an unknown quantity of water. But yeah, this is how I do it too. Mix it until you just cant see through it anymore, then go a little more and you are good. Its pretty safe stuff as far as the corals are concerned.

9ml bayer per cup of water @ 15m. If stuff makes it through go up to 15ml per cup.

Dipped zoas, lps, sps with no issues

My experience with bayer is, the water has to be milky white and minimum 15 minutes of dipping. So far no issues. Sps, lps and zo's.

i've mixed mine as much as 50/50 with no issues.

i've only used it on acros though. haven't tried it on other coral types.
