Coral expelling something

In Memoriam
I just obtained a nice pagoda cup coral last night.
This morning all the polyps were out and it was looking nice.
Just now when I went in to give it a little cyclop-eez and oyster eggs,
I noticed long slender brown threads being expelled from some of the polyps. Is this just the way these corals poo, or is something wrong- like expelling algae?

They can slough off the upper layer of tissue, maybe this is what your seeing, good water flow should prevent this.

Could be the natural expulsion of waste and/or zooxanthellae. It happens sometimes due to stress, also for no apparent reason at all. If the coral looks normal besides that and develops no colour or tissue loss, I wouldn't sweat it. Pagodas are pretty hardy.

I've seen lots of different corals expell zoox in this manner for no particular reason and with no discernable bad effects.

Thanks!
It was only a few polyps and they stopped after only a few minutes.....
They all opend back up and the whole coral looks fine (actually better after feeding)!
