Coral Fix

I purchased some of the Tunze coral fix, but I'm having difficulties with it. It just doesn't get hard at all and when its under water it wants to disolved if disturbed. I am mixing both at same portions.
What am I doing wrong? Is it a bad package?
TIA

All epoxy sticks tend to "dissolve" a bit in water and this supended particulate is an irritant. That is why we suggest doing it in a bucket. It takes 6 hours to fully cure. You want to kneed the two parts together with dry hands in the open air until thoroughly mixed and uniform in color. Then affix the coral to the stone outside the aquarium. If you are only doing one piece of coral in a large aquarium you can place the piece back in the aquarium but for multiple pieces or smaller aquariums where the irritant effect will be more pronounced you should let the epoxy cure in a bucket of saltwater for at least 4 hours before placing it back in the aquarium. This really applies to all epoxy sticks, they are all basically the same, the main reason we came up with ours is for the sake of more thorough instructions in the packaging after seeing sensitive inverts damaged by gluing multiple corals in the aquarium. If you need another copy of the instructions let me know.

Thank you for your response. I haven't waited that long to place back in the tank, I will try another piece. One of the pieces I did has remain in the aquarium for over 5 days and when I touch it falls apart?

The epoxy did not cure, you should start over. Once you affix the piece you should leave the epoxy alone once it is placed in water.
