I bought a yellow clown goby or coral goby depending on what you want to call it. I havent seen him eat yet, but havent been able to find if hes strictly a column feeder, or if hell also eat off the substrate. I have tetra marine sw granules which i crush to a powder for the little fish, brine, marine grazing block, and krill in a gel. Hes in qt with a firefish, who ive only seen eat out of the column. I have to really watch what i add, cuz its a barebottom qt and the ceramic rings to help the bioload will get overwhelmed easily

I had a yellow clown goby previously. It took awhile (couple weeks) before he would prepared foods. Most of the time he would take the food then spit it out. Finally got him to take frozen foods, then after that he would eat pretty much anything I put in (freeze dried, flake, pellet). Typically he would eat out of the water column, but I would occasionally see him pick at the rock or sand.

I had a clown goby that ate brine and cut up pieces mysis right away(but shied away from pellets). He sat on a piece of LR next to a power head and would pick off pieces as they came by. I had him for about a year until we lost power for 3 days and the tank dipped below 60F. Yellow clown gobies are one of my top 5 favorite fish because they are usually out in the open and mine use to play with my skunk cleaner shrimp.
