Coral Group order

on a positive note I emailed romell, I told him I was unhappy how the whole shipment was packed, and that i got 2 wrong corals, he said he is going to send me out some more this week, I just have to tell him what i want.

I'll keep you guys posted, but as a business owner he is doing the right thing and I'll give him credit for that. Sometimes stuff happens and i think thats what happened here, because he seems to have a very good reputation overall.

For $200 I got seven corals. I am happy. Not about the bagging mishap though. I just emailed him about the Toxic green acro that did not make it and the Dual MAtrix which I think is a blue tort of some kind. He said he will see if he has any left and ship them to me. As bad as some of this went I think I will buy again from him. Just because of the customer service being so great.
 
yeah customer service is important, I do look at how customer service is handled throughout the process though also. You know damage control is good, but you also have to handle the whole sale well too for me. I wouldnt say i would never order from him again, But I would want to try another first before i went back, just to see how other vendors do it.
 
I want to see how the corals look like under each tanks lighting vs. the pictures on the web site. He has some incredible pix online.
 
good idea I'll snap a few photos, they wont look anything like whats online though, he uses 20k i'm sure and like most online vendors they are very good at coral photography, Its kind of like booking a hotel online and you see a pic from the right angle the room looks big and bright and then you get there and you are like what the..............
 
They look nothing like online right now. I know everytime I get corals from online it takes them awhile to get there color back. I guess being in the box for that long kills off some of color( I am not even going to atempt to spell Zooaxenthalle). lol

And yeah they must really lose something in the shipping process, I guess its like when I see something at a LFS thats o.k. looking then a few weeks later it looks like a whole different coral all colored up and nice.

hmmm... I see. That sucks, but I have lost a few SPS from this after shipping. You know on this order I think the bags were too tiny and contained almost no water or oxygen. Its surprising most of the corals made it. I am working with Ultimate frags to get something sent out this week. Since two of the corals I didnt receive (they sent similiar but wrong ones) he offered to replace them free of charge.
I may suggest he sends them all out together again? With the replacements for Dan and you Russ if you want a replacement. You guys should contact him and we'll try to have him send it all out together I'd hate to see him have to pay shipping to send each of us replacements individually.
What do you guys think?
