I wish it was minor I had lots of casualties in my frag system. My DT on the other hand is doing well.I am glad yours is coming back around. Your minor setback has made this a pretty interesting competition. I am glad I am competing and not judging.

What are your nitrates and phosphates?Mine looks ok for now but I️ am experiencing an algae outbreak. I️ am trying to find the best method of controlling it. I did just put my ATS back online and added GFO. I️ did one 50 gal WC today and I️ am making 50 more for Wed-Thursday.

Thanks. For many of them I still have some small frags or several polyps to grow them back from. A couple others also have some backups so I'm not completely skunked. It is weird as a lot of the expensive stuff is flourishing.Sorry you lost coral. Didn't know it was that bad. Bummer bud.

I'd feed some phosphate rich food but you know your system better than anyone. I run nitrates around 5 and phosphates around . 08Not reading any Phosphate. Nitrates were between 5-12 on Nyos Kit. Looks closer to 5 to me. Turned my slimmer back on today too. I️ once had trouble getting any readings for nitrates so I️ turned of the protein skimmer. Maybe not the best idea huh?

I believe in the Redfield ratio to get rid of algaeI️ think I️ have phosphates in the water column but the algae is using it. If I️ truly had 0 phosphates, I️ wouldn't have an algae outbreak. Or is that not an accurate assumption? I️ am still very much a noob in this hobby/obsession. I️ rely on information I️ read online, mainly this forum.
