hopefully this doesnt affect the frags.
I HATE alk. things have been bouncing all over the place and I lost my birnsnest(actually a good thing) and I am having some rtn on 2 of my other acros
Alk is being used up so fast lately im having a hard time dialing it in. Losing almost a point a day... With a reactor going and dosing alk 15min every hour. I am bumping it up again to 20 min every hour. Just seems way to much.

that's a crazy amount to be using up so fast. Am I crazy for thinking that?

The first photo will need to be posted within the first week. We will be required to post a photo of the coral once a month,failure to do so will result in disqualification in the contest.
The winner will be rewarded with a 100 dollar gift certificate to either BRS or Premium Aquatics.

Sorry to be late to the game on this - I didn't realize this thread had a CDP connection.
Fact: I can't track exceptions to the CDP rules regarding 3 frag obligations on CDP receipts. Believe it or not, keeping track of the CDP is very difficult and the spreadsheets, calculations, etc. don't allow for exceptions. So, this contest will need to adhere to current CDP rules for transactions that are CDP related.
Opinion: I don't know why growing contests should be handled any differently than any other CDP transactions. It's just a mass cDP transaction that happens to be a very nice deal for the giver. If you think the CDP rules are too restrictive if you participate in this contest then I think the $10 alternative is a very fair deal.
Sorry to **** in everyone's Cheerios. I'll be at the swap on Saturday taking complaints in person!

This is fine, when a person gets 3 frags of it and they cant get rid of them they can toss them into the cdp tank at a swap and the frags can be your problem. ~

Kego - not trying to be a jerk about it, but I really don't know how to manage exceptions with the way I track all this so even if I thought it was a good idea I don't have a way to manage it.
That being said, I guess I still don't understand why a CDP contest means someone can't get rid of their frags. Is it because there are so many people who will need to get rid of their frags?
I'll buy you a beer tomorrow night and we can discuss.

I say to just go ahead and hand me the gift certificate. After all I use Jeffco water and the $100 would help my tornado shelter get salty:lolspin:
