Coral Help

I got a new piece of coral today and i think my son shocked it when he put it in the tank its been in for 5 hours and still wont open up all the way can anyone give me some advise on how to save it.

Most corals need time to properly acclimate in the new systems before their polyps will come out. Might take a few days. Did you acclimate the coral and what kind of coral is it?

i think the said it was rcdiaand zenia my waited he said about 10 min and placed it and had to go out.i just hate like hell to lose a 100.00 coral.

$100 for xenia? mmmkay. Xenia in general can be very fussy. It too mine a full week to start pulsing and looking happy. Just make sure your water params are in check, cross your fingers and hope for the best.
