Coral ID??

Could anyone please tell me what kind of Coral this is?

I picked this guy up recently but it was in much better form before I brought it home.
It seems that some of its flesh has separated from its core...that can't be a good thing. But I think there is still hope.

I just need to know what it is and what it likes so I can (hopefully) nurse it back to health.

The pic is not one of my better ones...apologies for that.

To me it looks like a pectinia coral. Does it have multiple mouths and long sweeper tentacles at night? A picture from above could be helpful too.

I have not noticed any tentacles but I will keep closer watch. As far as multiple mouths, I would say, yes it has very small multiple mouths. Often times very hard to detect.
I will try to get a better picture..one from above will be difficult, though

I did a search for Pectinia Corals...and many of the images have a very strong resemblance to mine...although they all are in much better shape than mine..;-)

I will assume that it is a Pectinia...but I am curious about the long sweeping tentacles.

Came across one of my old posts and thought I'd give a quick update.

After two years of nursing this slow growing Pectinia coral, it seems to have made some progress.
I have attached an AFTER and BEFORE pic...
