Coral? Identification help needed. Please.


This came on a piece of live rock about 4 months ago. It is about the size of a Pea. it was about 1/4 that size 4 months ago.

Anyone one to take a stab at what it might be?

I am sorry about the photo quality, I do not have a great digital camera.

My guess would be some sort of Chalice or perhaps a single head of lobophyllia.

Just guesses though =)

Could also be cynaria, meat coral, etc. Definitely looks like an LPS.

Does it have a skeleton? Would be the easiest way to determine.

I does not seem to have a skeleton. It seems to sway with the moment of the water.
