I was pretty sure that this was a torch coral but I am beginning to wonder now. This was knock over onto a real torch coral I have below it. After two days neither are really happy so I am wondering if they began to attack each other. I did not think that would really have been a problem if they both were torches. They could also both been alittle damaged which could be some of the problem. I thought I would start with what the coral really was. Is it a torch or something else?
This is a photo. They extend out about another 1" but I wanted to show what the base looked like also. They grow from a translucent mat that encrusts. It kind of grows like meteor shower does except that at each "polyp" location is a small torch head.
