coral pics

the great

Why is it that when i take a picture of my kenya trees with a 15-55 lense, the trees are orange and bland instead of pinkish purple?

also what kinda white balance is best for coral/tank pics?

Thanks

Different cameras see colors differently. Different lenses see colors differently. Different white balance settings dictate how the camera sees the colors. Of course the lens sees them first. This is one of countless reasons why a great lens is great.

should a stand back and use my Quantaray 70 - 300 mm F4-5.6 lense??

Trying to give as much dets as possible to help

I know the Quantaray 70-300 f/4-5.6 well as my best friend owns it. In fact, my avatar was taken with that lens on a 300D. You should post some examples before I can tell you what is going on though.
