Coral pictures from my reef tank

yup, just as beautiful. Are you displaying original format photos or are these cropped down a bit? It is amazing how much detail you are pulling off here.

Thanks! Pictures a cropped slightly where there were distracting elements, but I also used extension tubes for some of the shots.

Very nice. I have tubes but hadn't even thought of taking them out to do aquarium photography. I should add though that my tank is nothing small to look at. Its a FW tank w/ grow out discus in a BB tank. So not too interesting, lol. I also have a reverse ring for a 135 2.8 w/ a reversed 50mm. That is also a killer combo.

Yeah, tubes only really work for corals. You have a discus tank? Awesome, I love discus, use to have them myself, now my big tank hosts 6 leopoldi angelfish. Here's my tank, you have a pic of yours? (sorry, cellphone shot:))

Very nice! Mohawks are so photogenic that it's ridiculous.

Mohawks are one of my favorite zoanthids. I'm always looking for zoanthids with star-like patterns to them, I find them almost unreal when shoot with macro lenses. Here's some of my pictures from few years back- I wish I could have some of those zoas back:)

I almost don't want to post my pics after that shot! lol. I am growing out a group of discus in this tank. I originally started with 25 of them at or under 1". They are close to 4" now in 3 months in my care. I am down to 13 after some went for sale and some given away.

This is a 75g tank w/ a 40g sump. Not the best pic as these are all just to document progress. I did have a 55g fully planted HiTech tank though. I will try to find it somewhere.

Dude, that tank is awesome! Your discus tank pic didn't show. What kind of discus you have?

everytime I see a freshwater planted tank it reminds that is going to be my next project...awesome tank!
