2 weeks ago I took everything from my 30 and placed it in the 55 that was given to me. No cycle, no deaths. Beautiful. The only issue I've had is this: I have a softball sized rock covered with Green Star Polyps. It is so overgrown that it had begun developing what looks like long sprouts of GSP colonies off the main rock. I had cut several of them and glued them to different rocks. All of the cuttings are doing just fine, behaving as GSP's do. The main rock however has yet to open fully. An occasional polyp opens here or there but that's it. I have it placed near a Crowne Leather but not touching. Is there something else I'm missing? When I first bought it it took about a week to two weeks of slowly opening before it looked like it did when I bought it. It's been 2 weeks now and it's nowhere near the pattern when I first bought it. Thoughts? I hate to move it unless it indeed doesn't like being near the leather.

proximity of toxic soft corals such as Lobophytum, Sarcophyton, Sinularia etc. matters little. Allelopathaic metabolites are in the water column. (Think of the aquarium as a big bowl of soup.)
