Coral QT Lighting

Would one of those CFL bulbs be sufficient for 4-7 days of quarantine for corals or should I quarantine the coral for 8 weeks, in case any ICH came through... My original idea was just to inspect the coral for a few days, but come to think of it, it should be longer in case any nasties come through...

The 23w = 80w types - daylight bulb?

Ideas and experiences?

Lugols Iodine dip before - never used anything else, although I just bought two little fishies Revive. I will dip with that before QT - and inspect coral for 3-4 days with one of those local bulbs/reflectors from Home Depot, then dip again before placing in tank. Should be a decent solution. What do you think?

sounds like a pretty good plan. i never heard or used lugols before. ive always used coral rx in the past and it works like a charm. its rare to find in stores though and have to buy it online. i think the steps your going to take will reduce the possibility. see what happens and keep us updated. and if you can google coral rx and look into it. you might not have to go through all the extra steps but it sounds pretty solid what you are doing. just keep an eye on the corals to make sure they are doing ok under the light.
