Coral Reef fine after fire...

So apparently there was a fire in the kitchen of the Chinese restaurant next door to the Coral Reef last night around 11pm.

No one was in the building but someone nearby saw smoke and called it in. Thank goodness! It smells like wet smoke but all the fish are fine and the systems are running properly.

I just thought you guys would want to know that we're all doing well!

No lie, I was just in there yesterday. Glad nobody was hurt and all the systems seem to be doing okay.

I went in there today and the first thing I asked was "are yall burning something?":)
Nothing looked out of the ordinary except for the holes in the wall the firemen made.

are you having a fire sale!!

Seriously, so gratefull all is well there.

Maybe we should stock a few topical items: fire clowns, fire coral, fire shrimp, firefish gobies, flame hawks, HI Flame Wra$$es and flame angels!

That was a fun phone-call last night  The alarm/security company called and said that "3 fire trucks are working the fire." It wasn't until about 1/2 hour later that I learned that CR wasn't burning down.

That's pretty funny... I mean, its not like we aren't mixing salt water and electricity or anything... ;) The travel company next door can no longer complain about the noise we make... Our standard reply will now be, "at least we didn't burn down the building" :D

Sounds slightly stressful * sarcasm*

I am glad the first nice fish/coral store in Knoxville to appear in a long time survived virtually unscathed:)

Dang, this is the first i've heard! i'm really glad everybody is ok! phewww! we had a similar experience with my business when we were in town. the whole building right behind us burnt to the ground. its terrifying!!

Joel, it smelled like burnt everything in there on Friday.

The smell still lingers a bit but we're getting used to it.
