Coral Sale - 9/18 and 9/19

As most of the regular forum goers know, I am taking down our 270 gallon to allow us to move. I do plan to eventually set it back up, but for the time being I am selling off the vast majority of our corals to make the move(s) easier.

In order to offer good deals to the local club members and keep stuff "in the family," I wanted to offer what I have to members on this forum before the memphis frag swap, before I sell online, and before I talk to any of the LFS's.

For now, I am only selling corals and clams. I will have a few fish for sale, but the odds of getting them out without taking all of the rock out are relatively slim. I can make a quick try at it if someone wants something, but odds are they will have to come out later.

What we have:
Attached is an excel list of all of the things I am planning to offer colonies or frags of. If you were to the meeting hosted at our house a couple of months ago, you can imagine that this is about 90% of the stuff in our tank. There are a few small frags I want to keep that I am not willing to sell (and are not on the list), but even most of the corals I want to keep can use a trimming.

How this will work:
I think selling this much stuff will be a total headache if I try to keep anything for anyone, promise delivery, etc. Therefore, at the risk of our house turning into an utter zoo, we're just going to plan on being here ready to frag stuff this Thursday and Friday night (the 18th and 19th) starting at 6:00 and going until everyone leaves (I'm a night owl, so it would mean nothing to me if people were still filtering in until 10:00). If you can't make Thursday or Friday, PM me about Saturday and Sunday.

If there is about 30 people at our door come 6:00 on Thursday, then we may consider doing some kind of auction just so that everyone gets a shot at whatever corals they want...but we'll see how that goes. There are a few corals I refuse to frag, but the vast majority could be fragged so that if 3 people are here at the same time and they all want the same coral, everyone can have a piece.

Due to the possibility of a lot of people being here at the same time and a lot of people possibly wanting the same corals, I'll need to ask for some patience in advance. It seems almost inevitable that someone is going to feel like they missed out on something or whatever... stuff happens. My keg still feels heavy enough that I should have some free Miller Lite while you wait... so at least if you miss out on a coral or end up being here longer than expected, you'll have free beer to make it up to you. Bad attitudes will not be tolerated :)

No reserving!
The reason I am doing it this way is to try to make this as easy as possible on me while still spreading out the love. This means that I am not holding anything for anyone unless it has already been promised to someone or I've already made arrangements for it.

Where:
2121 Hwy 12 South, Unit 72, Ashland City, TN, 37015

It's a 25 minute commute for me from Vanderbilt, so although it may look far on the map, it probably isn't as bad as it seems.

When you get to our townhouses, you'll want to take the first left, drive until you have to turn right (at a set of dumpsters), and our unit is on the right hand side.

If one of our numbered spots in front of the house is not open, please park in front of the white building that is near the pool with the mailboxes in it (you'll pass it on the way into our complex).

I would appreciate a PM if you're planning on coming and when, just so I have an idea.

Call if you have problems finding us (six 1 five - five 8 4 - 1 two 1 eight).

Nice man.

I'm working on some details, but I'll let you know as soon as I do about when I'll be there. And I do plan on coming. :)

OK I want a frag of... Oh shoot....If only I had my new tank up. Never mind! :(

Are you sure you can't hold a lot of it for ..... hmmmm. a few months to maybe a year for me? ;) J/K Good luck selling it all and making some money for the move!

If you need a home for the large Naso till you get yours set back up I have room in my 180 for her.

Jason - I appreciate the offer. I think I have already found a home for him, but if that falls through, I'll let you know.

Just to let anyone know that is planning on coming...

If you are interested in colonies or large frags, please bring along large bags and/or buckets, tupperware, etc. I have a ton of bags for frags, but the only thing I have for something bigger is 1 gallon ziplocks and they are not the greatest. I thinned my container stash a month or so ago and I honestly don't have anything I can use at this point.

Also, it looks like we're expecting at least 6 or 7 folks coming here Thursday. I understand that this is to try to get everything before other people do and that's a-ok with me. However, it does mean that anyone getting here then is probably not getting out fast unless you only want 1 or 2 things... so please understand and allow for that. I'm mostly fragging by request so I don't end up with a bunch of frags left over... to do it semi-carefully takes a little bit of time and some help with bagging. And you're on your own for mounting them.

Quite a few people came out tonight and I hope that everyone went home happy. We still have plenty of stuff if you're free tomorrow night after six. We should also be around at various points this weekend.

Just please hit me with a PM or call so I have an idea of who to expect when or if you want to set up a time to have a look this weekend.
