Very good Sara, yes thats what it feels like. Actually its more like a conch's pace. This little guy, about the size of a closed fist with four of her friends have been keeping the entire floor of the tank truly free of any algae. They are incredible! problem is I think, I am going to have to import some algae just to keep these girls alive!!!!!

In case you missed?
Frankly I can't describe the difference between the two but I can tell you that I am truly a fan of what they can do to flow in the tank. We are so impressed we are putting them on all the outlets in the display tank as well as the Wilson Bars (formally known as Mars Bars).
I will defer to Mr Wilson for the technical review.........

I knew it was a conch, but the snails-pace sounded better! I'm fresh out of algae, but I could send you dead coral skeletons for them to clean!

I knew that you knew the difference and I knew that snails were easier to type but I thought that you wouldn't know I was teasing you to lift you out of your funk!

Hello everyone, sorry Peter to steal the thread for a moment.I wanted to share with everyone my wife gave brith to our first child on Sunday. We named her Valentina, she was 8 lbs 8 oz. She actually loves to sleep in front of my 180, maybe a potential marine biologist. Here's a pic. Sorry but a proud father has to brag. Back to you Peter.

An absolutely stunning build!
With the chat about cooling, and the earlier ref to geothermal, has there been any consideration to using that for cooling what you need to? Understood that access to the outside may be tough.....

The original plan called for an elaborate geothermal setup but we discovered at the last minute that I did not have a large enough footprint to support a 10K sq ft home. I could have if I had planned for it on the initial build but a retrofit was not possible. Well truthfully I could have but my wife's garden would have disappeared and that had a consequence I didn't want to deal with.

By the way, my display tank temp at the moment is 78.0 F. It was 77.4 F this morning. I may be ok with respect to temp if I just take my time to discover the system characteristics and plan for subtle control leading to stability. Time....lots and lots of time.
LOL I think were getting a little nuts with the geothermal. Am I the only one who thinks geothermal just to cool a tank is overkill??? I don't even think that 19,000 gallon thread needs that. There must be commercial grade chillers which could handle this for you. Digging in or around your house for geothermal sounds a little overboard. And your wifes gardens are as wild in the gardeners world as your tank is in the aquarium world. I would never jeopordize that. Plus lets face it..... she will kill you
