Coralife Chiller Error E1

Can anybody provide a solution for an error code E1 on a small aquarium chiller?

My wife teaches 3rd grade and for the last 10 years every January has had a local fish hatchery deliver steelhead salmon eggs to her classroom, where she fosters them in an aquarium and nurtures them until the fry are mature enough to return to their native river. She only operates the aquarium system for a total of about 6 weeks yearly.

She's got a Coralife 1/10hp chiller that's performed well enough all this time but just pulled everything out of storage today to get it together for this year's batch of eggs to be delivered in a couple weeks and the found chiller is not working.

It displays a code E1 and will not respond to any of the only 3 buttons on the panel (Set, Temp UP, and Temp DOWN). Coralife evidently stopped selling chillers and has nothing about them on their current website. She inherited the unit from another classroom and has no manual. She's bringing it home tonight for me to take a look at so I'm hoping anybody in this group might be able point me in the right direction.

I found this manual after much googling. That being said, there’s no troubleshooting section and says there’s no serviceable parts. In my quest, in reviewing several older threads, it definitely appears that not much is serviceable on the chiller without specialty modification. Not sure if that really helps but I’ve never dealt with chillers.
