I have the coralife pro with 2 150w 10k MH bulbs and 2 96w-blue actinic 420nm over my 120g. I have 175 of LR in it and was wanting to add some coral to it. I would love soft/LPS combo, but I am not sure how my light compares to the others. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I own the same light but it sits in the closet now as I recently purchased a 250 fixture.
My limited experience from an 18"tall tank would recommend trying a frogspawn, maybe toadstool leather & some zoas.
With that amount of live rock, you could get a shelf within 8-10 inches of the surface. That would be a good place to try out some sps frags(stony corals).
Make sure those halides are not more than 6-8 months old as well.
BTW, the moonlights on that fixture are great. much better than my new one.

My frogspawn went from 3 heads to 8 within 2 months on the bottom with that light. As for the bulbs, You'll likely have limited growth & start to see algea growth due to the age of your bulbs. They change spectrum as they age. Goes from coral growth to algea growth. I'm still working on hair algea due to that mistake.
Ahhh...The brown algae seems to be a lot happier the last few months and I was thinking it was because it has a window behind it and I don't have a backing on it. I can enjoy it on the patio from the other side, too =) Looks like I will have to start saving then. Thanks for the pointer!

I ran XM's I think. But there are many that like Phoenix 14k's. I personally would try those.

I just put the Pheonix 14k's in yesterday. It is such a difference from the gross yellow of the coralife lights. At first I thought they really weren't doing much until I lifted the light a little and looked at it. Ouch!! lol With the royal blue 95ws this really gives some POP!!
