has anyone ever used a coralife super skimmer. im in need of a new skimmer for my 125, but dont have a lot to spend right now. I was wanting to get an octopus extreme because i have heard great things about them. I found the coralife for around $140. Thanks

I had an awful experience with the 125. Worked well initially, but over a few months, developed non-stop leaks where several of the fittings came together. Not well made, IMO. Spend a bit more on better equipment and save yourself lots of aggravation in the long run.

The CSS 220 that I owned was the absolute most miserable wothless piece of crap I ever wasted money on. Do yourself and your tank HUGE favor. RUN from anything that has CSS on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just purchased the new current usa recirculating skimmer for very cheap and it looks like it may be the way to go. It is rated up to 220 gallons and it looks to be pretty nice. I paid $90 for this skimmer new. I will hook it up this weekend on my tank that has been running skimmerless for 5 years just to see what it will pull out. Did I mention this skimmer was $90 with free shipping and it came with the recirculating pump too. It is also a pretty massive skimmer with a 6" diameter and stands in at 26" tall. All you need is a feed pump and a $20 maxi jet will work fine to feed it.

thanks for the quick reply. I really do like the octo. it seems to be a well built skimmer. I was just curious about the css because a company just set up a tank at my work and thats what they are using. If I had the money I would get a H&S. But I think I will try to find something around $300 for now.
