coralife super skimmer

has anyone ever used a coralife super skimmer. im in need of a new skimmer for my 125, but dont have a lot to spend right now. I was wanting to get an octopus extreme because i have heard great things about them. I found the coralife for around $140. Thanks

I have the #220 on a 75 gallon. I have it in a 20 Gall long sump and I think it works great. There is some mods for it but I did not do any of them. Accept put the pump about 2" from the top of the water level.

I hated mine... forever finally the pump broke and i threw it away and are going to try Octopus. Check them out they have some decent priced skimmers also and hear good things about them. Levi

Go with the octo extreme. The CSS isnt very super. They tend to overflow (bad cup design) and are tempermental with adjustments. I would rather go without a skimmer for a bit and save for a proper skimmer.

We have a 125 on our 65G and it works great. pulls out a full cup of really dark sludge in 3-4 days. I've read many complaints though. Octo's are supposed to be pretty good especially for the price, we just picked one up for our new 150G
