Anyone know how to get the hard coraline algae (purple and pink) off of an overflow box and U tube. I scrubbed it with a green scrubby pad and used a baby bottle brush on the U tube but it's impossible to get off.
For the U tube, I would try and prevent it from getting light. Algae in a U tube can cause a lot of problems. Otherwise you can use vinegar or an acrylic scrapper (like a razor blade but not metal).
