coraline

I think I'm getting coralline algae on my tank glass. It is kinda pinkish and very hard to scrub off of the glass.

I think I remember reading that this is a good thing. Is that correct?

Coraline algae is a sign of a healthy system, though some healthy systems never develop much coraline algae.

It will also grow on plastic very easily if not first. Look for spots on rock too, I would think it would hit there before glass. I am not the expert, but I read and ask a lot of questions. It has hit my tank that way.
There is also cyano bacteria which is same color just more transparent. If I am wrong, I am sure others will chime in rather quickly.

Can you get pic?

When my coralline appears/grows back, it always starts in circular light pink spots/blotches then spreads out in the same manner.

Constant battle, just clean the viewing sides now... lol!
