I thought yesterday I saw a deal for a 29 tank and stand for $381

I went to check today on don't see it. It might have been a 1 day sale? I guess I should play it cool through this shopping season and an opportunity for salt water tank will present itself.

I checked our past few promotions, but do not see that offer having been available. Sorry about that! There are definitely going to be some sweet deals going from now until the end of the year. It is weird I think they are different stands, but if you buy tank and stand separate it is a couple of bucks cheaper.

I am still researching, but love the site.

off hand do you know if the bio cube comes with the filter media (filter floss) is that a pre-made thing or that something I just buy and stuff in?

If I go a bigger tank and buy a sump what do you think is ideal on protein skimmer placement? and does it drain in the same compartment or do you run it to the next compartment?

Hi thelawnwrangler,

The BioCube does include filter media: which consists of BioCube Filter Cartridges for mechanical and chemical filtration as well as Ceramic Rings for biological filtration.

As for a larger tank, the skimmer can sit in the same compartment as the drain as long as the level is constant and the water is not too turbulent.

Ah-ha! Thank you so much for sending that banner.

We send a data feed to populate those ads to show you products you viewed when you visited or related products. So once you showed me the ad, I knew we had definitely lowered it to that price... otherwise it wouldn't have been there unless we made a pricing error or had a data problem.

I spoke with our Coralife buyer and, sure enough, it was a deal of the day for us... so that is why it was there and gone so quickly.
