Corallife super skimmer question.

Nathan4Wvu

Do you like Phil Collins?
I got my skimmer friday coral life 65 and it has been breaking in till about 2 hours ago. Well it said to run it with the inlet flow valve turned 1/2 shut and the outlet 100% open. Did both of those. ok next step after break in open inlet valve all the way. open outlet all the way. adjust outlet so that microbubbles are .25" into cone done.

Ok my problem is when the inlet valve is all the way open the bubbles overflow the collection cup. The outlet is all the way open. It says
WARNING!!!! Do not run inlet valve any less than 100% open after breaking period.

What should i do to help this??? Or is it not broken in all the way???

Do you have it submerged or hanging on the side?

I already threw my box away, I bet the box also said, "if used submerged in sump, keep level stable or have someone adjust it every 5 minutes".

If not, it should have.

lol
My water is a stable level I have ato and its in a part of the sump where the water level does not change.

Its getting better slowly i posted this in another forum and a guy said his did this for about 1 week he said it could be any thing from somthing in the water to the skimmer having oils built up in the chamber where it was manufactured.

Mine worked pretty well from the start. As my water evaporates, the sump level drops and the submerged skimmer performs worse to not at all. It is on a 75g at work so I can not auto topoff. It is sort of a PITA.

I suspect yours will start working better - good luck.
