Coralline algae and LED lighting

I've had a tank up for over two years with barely any coralline growing anywhere. Only use led lighting from an old AI fixture, is led lighting not the best for coralline growth?

Type of lighting shouldn't matter. Lots of people have leds and lots of coraline. Coraline has the same requirements as most corals - stable alkalinity, calcium and magnesium as well as some available nitrate and phosphate. I find coraline usually does better in areas of high flow and lower lighting. Keeping magnesium on the higher end (1500ppm) also seems helpful.

Thanks, I just started dosing kalk, it's weird everything is growing even the sps, but no coralline at all...
You can seed it to your tank to help. Choose a couple snails covered in coraline from your LFS.

Yeah, I have LED lighting (Kessil AP700), and my coralline grows lower in the tank and areas of shade (such as the shade shadows cast by my two MD-40 wavemakers).
