coralline algae

Blaze2- Your nitrAtes seem quite a bit high. Not sure if that has anything to do with your lack of coraline but one of the smart people on here can probably chime in and let you know.Regardless, I would shoot to get your 'trAtes lower it will make your coral/fish/inverts much happier and healthier.

i know i have been trying to get them down for 4 months doing 20% water changes each week but nothing is working. my tank is 55g and i don't have that many fish at the moment i have 6 fish 15 corals. the most fish i have ever had is 7. so why isn't the water changes working and also the fish are small ones aswell.

Unfortunately, water changes won't help much with nitrates, bigger skimmer would. Also PO4 10 mg/l is way too high, that could certainly inhibit coraline growth. A bigger skimmer should also help, as would GFO.

Your nitrites level is high. Should be undetectable. Nitrates - very high. Coralline algae hates nitrates and phosphates. Throw some chaeto in sump or behind rocks. Add more actinic lights - coralline loves actinic.
Try to keep parameters stable. Top off more often with small amounts of water. I hope you are using RO/DI.

500 Ca is too high, check your Mg - it is probably too low.
