Ive started my tank about 5 months ago. 75g FOWLr. I bought Marco rock not live rock. The tank is too sterile looking for my tastes. Ihavent had any algae at all, since I only have my lights(130 watt PC's) on for 4 hours per day. I want to try and get some coralline growing eventaully. So Imthinking about seeding the tank with some coralline and doubling the photoperiod. My question is can you grow corallin in an aggressive tank. I have a 3 picasso, and a 4 niger. with the rock that came in the 50lb box. I have a bermuda rogue skimmer, and ac110 power filter for mechanical, loaded with purigen. Will it be possible?

Ya you could but it will take a while, one reason is that your only oning the lights for 8 hours (much to little for coralline) and the second is 130Ws lights are just too weak for coralline to grow fast. It may take months to get even a part of the tank full of coralline algae.

I have had my 55g set up since new years running pc lights for about 12hrs a day and I am starting to coraline build up on the pumps and rocks.

I've got tons on coralline in my 75g that has been set up for a little over a year now. I have a 4" Yellow Tang, 14" Snowflake Eel, and an 8" Brownbanded Bamboo Shark. The lights are only 80W of High Output PC. They stay on about 10 hrs a day.
