Corals detaching

Today one of the heads of my mushrooms has detached. It isn't all closed up and looks healthy. Is this something I should worry about? About 3-4 weeks ago I had a zoa frag close up and detach. Unfortunately I couldn't save that.
I've read a little on hydroids and I'm now concerned I have this. Help! Anyone, please

this happens fairly often with most soft corals. i've seen it happen with my mushrooms and kenya trees.

doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong, that's one way they propagate. the shrooms will often drop off, then float around on the current until they find a place that they like and settle down.

Yep.. Thats what they do..
They like humans will "move" when they don't like their neighbors or feel cramped or whatever..
Other corals that can't move have attack/defense mechanisms/stinging cells,etc..

Or as stated its to reproduce.. But thats normally a splitting vs just getting up and moving but even that shroom may have left a small part of its foot behind which can/will turn into a new one..

And thats a harmless featherduster worm..
