corals dying

hey guys,

im sure we have all experienced this but i wanted to see if there is anything i can do. i have had several corals over the past year that have randomly died. usually same process happens where by slowby by the day the coral will die until it is a white skeleton. sometimes the coral survives 5 months great and sometimes survives only a month.

basically, what can i check to help solve the problem.
all my usual testings are fine (alk, ca, mag, phosphates, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, ph).

what are usual things that cause this

if all perameters are stable over that time and test out good then it comes down to lighting, flow and food.

There are so many different things that could cause something like this.

Can you post your parameters so we can try to narrow it down?

(Ca,Alk,Mg,lighting,flow,temp etc)

Although this methodology is still experimental (IMO), biopellets might work for you. You could call yourself one of the pioneers in this newest craze.

Do you have other corals that are thriving or at least surviving for much longer time periods or do most follow the pattern you described? There are so many things that could account for this problem. Unfortunaqtely, the things we can measure easily are seldom the answer.
