corals feeding

HI,

I have seem overt the life of my tank, strands of stuff coming off corals and I read it was for feeding. I looked at my tank and see that most of the corals have the strands coming out all over the tank at the same time. Is this a sign of something? I have these webs every where.

I was under the impression these strands or "cobwebs" that were released indicated a sign of stress in a coral???

Depends a bit on what they are. If they are full of brown zooxanthellae, than yes they are in trouble. If they are clear and mucusy, they are a feeding strategy ;)

they are all clear, but I found it odd that 6 corals at the same time were doing this?
