Corals for the June 24th GIRS Auction

Post any corals that you plan on bringing to the June 24th GIRS Auction here. If you have a picture please post it. Include your minimum bid. Meaning if you bring a frag of frogspawn and you will not accept anything less than $10 for it....then $10 is your minimum bid and the starting bid. Again, since this is a GIRS fundraising event 20% of everything sold will be donated to the club.

Well, someone needs to get this party started These are just some of the frags I'll be bringing, I'll post more later once I have the time for more pics. These will all be "unmounted" frags(unless otherwise noted) that will be taken a few days before the auction to give them time to heal up.

Purple Montipora digitata: $1 min bid

Yellow/green Acropora millepora: $5 min bid

Acropora horrida: $5 min bid

Pink birdsnest(Seriatophora sp): $2 min bid

Blue Acropora(maybe be an echinata, though not sure):mounted frag $20 min bid

Pink birdsnest: $2 min bid

Again, just a sample to get things going, I will put more up later.

We are going to start the auction PROMPTLY at 1pm. So it would be a good idea to come a little early so you can take a look at some things and get a bidding # too. Please do not come much before noon though as I may still be setting up .

After the auction we will grill burgers and dogs and enjoy the rest of the afternoon.

Well, I am going to post a few more frags I'll be bringing.


Blue tip Stag, this is a fast growing Acro: $5 min bid

Acropora desalwi, awesome coloration, slower growth: $15 min bid.

This one was sent to me as a Blue slimer, not sure that is actually the correct ID, but it does have nice coloration: $10 min bid

Yellow acro, with slight pink tips, has long polyps similar to a millipora: $5 min bid

Pic does not do this Acro justice, it almost glows yellow with pink and purple tips: mounted $15 min bid.

This is actually the ORA pink milli, it does have a pink interior with blue corallites, fairly fast growing: $10 min bid

Other frags:

Yellow Porites sp. :$5 min bid
Few single red shrooms: $1 min bid
Purple shrooms on a small rock, ~6-8 shrooms: $5 min bid

There may be some other frags I decide to bring that day. Hopefully someone else will get some stuff up here soon, feels kinda lonely right now

Here is a list of some of the corals that I will have for the auction. I will hopefully get them all...if not I will continue to add to the list.

Frogspawn- Green with pick tips Min bid=$10 for 3 heads. 3 frags available

Candy Coral- Green stripped Min bid $10 for 3 heads. 4 frags available

Blue Tort- $10 min bid. I will have 5 frag and mounted ready to go and can get many more if needed

Orange/red cap- $3 min bid. Again, I will have 5 frags ready to go and I can get more if needed.

Bali Green Slimmer- $5 min bid. I will have 5 mounted and ready to go.

Xenia-$2 min bid. I have multiple stalks of this. Probably about 5 frags of 5 stalks each. This is the only xenia I have ever liked.

Purple tip Nana- $8 min bid. I will have atleast 5 of these available.

Red Milli- $10 min bid. These will be smaller frags but I will have a few of these.

I also will have:

Microthalma. This is green and glows nicely under actinics. Min Bid $2. I have a lot some will be mounted and some not.

Red/orange ricorda. Min Bid $8. I don't know how many I will have yet until I get them off my bottom.

Dark Green Prostrate. Min Bid $3. I have lots of these too. I will mount about 5 and I can fresh cut more if needed.

Tri-color Milli. I will try and get about 5 of these mounted - $8 min bid. This is a beautiful coral! I will try and get a picture.

Lavender table. Min Bid $5. It is encrusted on a big rock. I will also have a couple of frags mounted.

I will try and get some pictures of these but they are all in my tank so you will be able to see them the day of the auction. I guess that will be an advantage for me when it comes to the auction day!

Here are the corals I will be bringing. There should be several frags of each of these. Some of these pictures aren't the best.

Zoanthids:

Red zoanthid with 1 radioactive dragon eye polyp - $5

Rainbow zoanthid. - 5$

Radioactive Dragon Eye These are brighter green than in the pic - $5

BlowPop - $5 I got these at last fall's frag auction from Bullet and they were Peach colored. They are really starting to color up.

Dragon Eye - $5

Peach_white_green - $5

Soft Coral
Xenia - $5

Mushrooms - $5

Not shown - Cerith Snails -$5 I'll be bringing a bag or two of cerith snails sold in bags of 10. They grow to around 1/2 an inch and breed very quickly.
