corals in the bahamas

a guy i work with goes to the bahamas every couple weeks and he has gotten permission from the government to take corals for his(and my of course) personal aquarium. last time he brought back a purple branching porites, a yellow porities and ricordia. he gave the sps to my boss though... he said he is going in a couple weeks and can get me anything i want. what is there in the bahamas coral wise to get??? any acros??

Oh i went skin diving there but it was before i really knew my corals, there was a wonderous variety tho

I highly doubt that anyone in the bahamian government would allow collection of corals. by bahamian law, they're off limits. do you or your friend have a CITIES permit? because it's not really the bahamian government he'll need to worry about, it's our government that'll drop the hammer on him.

i agree with rick. if everyone would go to nearby areas and STEAL corals from thier natural environment over and over again, we would have no more reefs!
