Wait until you guys have been around awhile, and on the selling end of some of these transactions. It gets to a point you have to sell to the first person with cash. So many people will stall you for weeks, or commit to something only to back out. Sometimes they just don't bother to reply.
I think you will find some locals would rather give frags to friends than deal with the hassle of trying to get a few $ to put back into the tank by selling them.
Others hold things for the swaps in hopes of unloading everything in one afternoon, and not spending hours emailing, pming, and waiting on people to show that aren't even serious buyers....
I've seen others complain, and even say they are keeping a list of people that are poor buyers/sellers. I'm in the hobby to enjoy my tank, and improve my reef keeping ability. Not keep score on the locals.
Not here bashing anyone, and sorry to hijack the sales thread. Just saying try to look at both sides of the story.

The reason I said to take me off the list is because it is no longer cost effective for me to drive down for the one $15 frag he has left that I would want. The first trip cost me $20 in gas and there were several frags I wanted however that trip was wasted. Since I already have $20 in gas wasted to go again would cost another $20 and I would end up with 1 frag for a total cost of $55.
The terms of the deal were clearly stated in the begining of the thread "first come first serve" I am not upset that frags I wanted were sold, that was a risk I accepted when I left my house. I am simply stating that it is no longer cost effective for me to go again.

Scott...I am in the same boat as Thinslis...I am not upset at all...It is not that big of a deal...between the 2 of us we spent over $40 in gas money for nothing...we were only about 10 minutes away on over a 1hr drive in very crappy weather when I got the call from Terry saying he wasn't going to be home and was at work...
I am an administrator on a RC Helicopter forum that is about the size of Reef Central...and know all about the woes of selling things in forums like this...it does suck to be on the receiving end of someone not showing up...
As I told Terry $hit happens...no big deal just wish I could have recieved the call a little earlier...but if he didn't know until just before he called then what can you do...no one is a fortune teller!

Anyone wanting to come out the weekend is the best time. Even MJAnderson can stop in. I have a DR apt today. Friday, Sat, Sun, are open. Still have coral available. Will update pics later today.

I was wondering the same, and a lil upset about it...
Ive been off work for 7 months now due to an accident at work. I spent 16 days in the hospital, 8 weeks with in home nursing while on IV antibiotics, 3 months of physical therapy, like 10 x rays, 2 mri's, 2 picc lines, 3 phase bone scan, a spinal tap, etc etc, and I can't get anything nearly that good outta my doc :lol:

I figured humorous slant would come off better than putting down the way it is.

I made arrangements at 10am to be there late afternoon and I was there the only time I could. Since I have to take care of Uncle's meds and make sure he didn't mess all over the bed or worse a coulpe evenings per week.
MJAnderson missing the transaction. Like it was some evil plot to single him out. Maybe folks need to understand that things happen. But On and On and On they go about it.
