Corals Recovering....

As you all know a couple weeks ago I suffered a fried Powerhead in my system and it really zapped a bunch of my corals. Its been a couple weeks and the recovery has been nothing short of spectacular!! I was really afraid I might lose a few choice pieces. Everything is coloring back up a lot quicker than I ever expected. I couldn't bring myself to take pictures the day that they all looked horribly bleached since I was just too depressed. So the bad pictures are actually a couple days of recovery(but still look bad).

I'll tell ya, these things can recover real quick!!
I was real depressed for a few days after all the hard work I put in to everything to see them almost dead overnight just sickened me. I am much better now Thanks for everyones help on here and support as well.

good to hear they are getting better. maybe we all should check our tanks for stray voltage like once a month.

Very important to check your powerheads and any electrical equipment that is submerged every so often. This was a pump that I had neglected to check in over 8 months. Problem is, it was in my frag tank UNDER the eggcrate to keep detritus stirred up on the bottom of the tank. From the looks of the inside of it, it hadn't been working for a while. A surge of electrical current from a power blink really jolted the tank I believe. My corals went from Super Color when I went to bed one night to being scary bleached the next morning. I would hate for someone else to have this happen.

CHECK ALL YOUR SUBMERGED ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT REGULARLY!!!!!!!!!!!
