Avoid Coralvue at all costs. Worst customer service ever. Period.
You kidding?
They have the best customer service,
I had a ballast go out on one of my t5 retro fit kit's (bought it used and have had it over 2years) sent them an email saying my lights aren't coming on my one set and they replied asking for a picture so they could figure out my model type. next reply they asked for my address to send me a new ballast. They said if this doesn't solve the problem they were going to send me new wires and end caps next.
Sorry your experience was bad but I've had great experience. Also have an octopus skimmer, had a question about they replied same day with answers.
Not sure if there is anyone else but i always dealt with David.

Ive dealt with David, and so have others. Check the feedback forum, there is a lengthy thread with those who have had bad experiences with Coral Vue. It took several days, and plenty of haggling for them to send me a new impeller on my $550 piece of crap octopus 250 pro skimmer. I eventually got one after weeks, and threatening to bad mouth them on RC (Which I do anyways).

Theyre supbar equipment, so I guess you get subpar service. Deal with Vitko or Jon Warner (The two best around IMO), and then compare Coral Vue to the big boys. Glad you had a nice experience with Coral Vue, though. I absolutely did not.

Nothing but good results dealing with Coralvue. Fast response to e-mails, and even sent me a part for free that I lost. Yes I have seen the posts about a few problems, but you always hear more about the negatives than you do the positives.

Someone will always have a problem with a company at some point or another. I've had nothing but good experiences with them. It's hard to argue with the amount of people that are using their products and having great success with them. I would definitely say that they have some of the best products on the market at a great price.

That being said, I think that the Tek fixtures are the cream of the crop in T5 lighting for the price. I've never used Coralvue's and I've not heard anything at all about them.
