I'm fixing to build a new tank but I'm having trouble finding a full kit for a corner overflow, I have found kits for all of the plumbing to do one but where can I find the corner cover that will be placed in front of the plumbing? Is that included in the mego flow kit just not shown or where can I purchase one? Any tips or references greatly appreciated!!

Curious at to why you are wanting a corner overflow. I have a 90 with a corner overflow and it will be my last. Next tank will be custom drilled through the back and if not that i would have a center overflow. I feel that the corner overflow is less effective than a custom drilled. jmo
I have a 46gal bowfront I started wit, it's drilled through the back but was thinking of doing this one through the bottom it doesn't necessarily have to be corner I am just wanting it to be flush with the wall and have a neat look to it, I see your point of the corner overflow being less effective due to only circulating from the side, what's the pros and cons of your choice on center overflow and custom drilled in the back?

I have a corner overflow, factory corner-flo from Marineland that I've converted to a Herbie style drain. There's nothing wrong with them. Overflows get all or almost all of the water that they send to the sump from the surface, hence, overflow... with a decent rate of flow, and a bit of circulation in the tank, and it doesn't make a any difference where at the surface the water comes from. Internal overflows take up more inside real estate, outside overflows don't look good with tanks that are not backed up to a wall. All a matter of choice. I used to have a 180 that was mounted as a room divider, view-able from two sides, and had all the plumbing running in the ends, which were covered. My current tank stands in the open, you can walk all the way around it... a corner overflow made sense. If the tank was bigger, I would have been looking at a center overflow. Whatever works.
There are several companies selling overflow boxes of various types, http://www.melevsreef.com/ has a corner overflow, Glass holes (Apparently, Gl*******s is a bad word!) is pretty well thought of... or you could make one from a couple of pieces of acrylic... If you're DIY'ing, careful... many tanks have a tempered bottom. That's one reason why side or back overflows are more popular for DIY drilled tanks. Less chance of shattering the glass.

Thank you Greybeard! We drilled the 46 ourselves and it turned out great, the only downside is it can't be against the wall due to plumbing and I feel the overflow style seems more tidy all contained inside the tank, professional looking is how I view it in my eyes, did you custom build the herbi system and how well does it work? I feel everyone has a different opinion on overflow or custom drilled in the back, I appreciate the comments
