Hi
I have a running 55 gallon corner tank that was given to us by someone who just gave up on it.
I have worked hard over a couple months to improve it and get the water right.
It has a 4x31w Deep Blue T5 fixture that is perhaps 3-4" inches shy of the corners. (I need to replace the bulbs; I think they are old.) Given the odd shape of the tank, I'm trying to figure out what to do to improve my lighting.
Here is a professional diagram I paid hundreds of dollars for
My problem is that a bigger T5 will basically hang off. Even switching to a 6 bulb T5 leaves the "behind" angle uncovered.
What I'm wondering is if it would make sense to put a single MH fixture in the back to cover the rather large area encompassed by the "?". Something like the Odyssea pendant.
The other issue is that this is right in our living room and I can't have a lot of goofy stuff hanging down from the ceiling; it has to be sort of low-key.
I appreciate your advice
Dave
