Corraline Algae Growth

I seem to be having a hard time growing corraline algae on the rock in my tank. On all plastic/PVC/back glass/and starboard I have corraline. My rock does not seem to grow the stuff nearly as good as the other surfaces. My tank is about 7 months old and is full of SPS corals and fish. I have seen in other similar issues. Maybe it has to do with being BB, and a lot less nutrients, not really sure.

My question is: I have seen a product called "Purple Up", would this help me?

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

Do a search for "Strontium" by user "jb ny"

I started dosing about 1.5 weeks ago and I can't believe that I'm already starting to see purple blotches ALL over every single rock in my tank.

It's kind of crazy that's all it was. All of my levels (alk/ca/mg) stay at NSW and I have a low nutrient tank.

My ca was at 400 for months and I had no coralline growth until I dosed strontium.

My mg was 1300 and my alk was about 9.5.

I started dosing Strontium/Molybednum(Kent-same stuff as mentioned in the post that "NoSchwag" referred to) I will post my results when/if I notice any.

That's the stuff I'm using. Make sure you don't overdue it, I hear it's easy to OD with it.

I am putting a cap full every 5 days on my tank which is about 135g total.
