Correct configuration?

Acrylic 100 gal (120) bowfront, 48x24x24, with Fish, SPS and some softies, zoo's and a at least one bubbletip anemone.

i was thinking of two 6000's, each in the deco rock holder with a multicontroller. each would be positioned to aim at approx the center of the front of the tank.

would this be correct? thx!

Generally it is preferred to aim just before center. The Stream rocks are nice but a lot of people feel they are to large in smaller tanks, two of them might just be too much so you might consider a magnet holder.

I would agree with Roger on the rocks. I tried 2 of them in my 110 gal and there was no way to make they fit and look good.

ok, aiming changes s/b simple enough....as for two of them, i was figuring to hide them in the rockwork....perhaps i can come up with a smaller similar solution on my own with a DIY thing. thx!

ps: all the pictures i've seen do not show the the backside. the inlet side, of the rocks. how are those setup? a bunch of holes, slots, slits? thx again!

Oh and before i forget, what is the correct size pipe/coupler that is used? i guess i could even take a chisel real quick to the real live rock, and incorprate it into the real rock work....it shouldn't be all that hard, it's all, the live rock, really soft stuff. for that matter i could even use a hole drill.....

The rock has an arching structure that lets water in from all sides, the outlet is 50mm in diameter. You need a metric PVC coupler to mount the pump in. Whatever you do keep in mind every feew months the pump needs to come out for cleaning, it will lock up with lime if you ignore it too long so don't make removal a big chore.

ok, i'll keep that in mind, it'll surely be important when i decide where/how i'll place it. i'm sure i can figure out something once i get the pumps themselves. a caliper can be a handy tool. i make my living building airplanes, and i love the DIY thing. so i think i'll give it a whack. thx for the info. your help is much appreciated.
