I've found some like these on craigslist before and asked the same question and the general answer is no would have to replace ballasts lens etc usually cheaper just to buy a diy kit from someone like hellolights.com

Or even Ebay has some good deals on MH lights thats where I got mine Good Luck! maybe someone else can shed some light on this

i bought some diy 250w pendants off ebay and they are ok. i am having trouble with the metal connectors holding the bulb tight so my lights dont come on some time. i guess the price differance is worth jiggling a bulb every now and then

The ones I got seem really good hadnt had the problem you are so far atleast
