Could my Gold Stripe kill my BTA?

I have a maturing Maroon Gold Stripe, the first stripe near the head is just starting to turn gold, about a month ago I chose to get her a BTA. It took about two week to find one I liked and It took her about 2 week to accept the BTA. Just when I thought she may not accept the BTA, I woke up one morning and my clown appeared to be in heaven! She was rolling in and out, faning the BTA with her fins, gently nipping the tenticles, and just being very protective. To the point that my clowns long time buddy, the yellow tang, was no longer aloud to hang out. The clowns is obsessed with the BTA it seems to be non-stop! Today when I tried to feed the BTA the clown dove right back in and managed to push the food out of the BTA's grip. I'll try again tomarrow but that kinda thing is harmful to the BTA or not? Help! how should I handle this? I don't want to sepparate the two but i don't want to loose the BTA either. My BTA is still young, and the day before I got it, it had cloned its self. I don't want the BTA to be stressed. how long does it need to be considered full strength. It has been eating fine, but it was looking abit worn today. The BTA is only about 3" across including tenicles. HELP!

I noticed my clowns doing this too. When I feed my nem the clowns will go as far as pulling the food out of its mouth.

If I feed my clowns and then place a really short chunk of shrimp right at the nem's mouth he has time to get it down before the clowns stop feeding and worry about their home again. My BTA is also really small (3-4" across), and I want it to really thrive, so hopefully my 2banded clowns will stay the hell away from it during feeding time

Yes, your clown can beat up/damage/kill your anemone. Not to mention, many clowns bite off anemone tentacles.

Typical recommendation is for an anemone to be 3x the diameter of the clowns length.

Maroons are so very cool! But, they can over love a BTA. Seems like you need to wait a bit and see what happens.

Try dropping a chunk of food into the water column near your nem & clown that's too large for the clown to swallow. It may grab the food & bring it to the nem to eat.

Early on my maroons would snatch the food & run to saftey of the nem, realizing they couldn't swallow it, they'd release the food into the anenome. They now intentionally grab bigger chunks & feed the nem for me.
