Hi reefers ,

I had about 40 eggs of my pair that had suvived the first 9 days as an egg ,
but due to the fact i couldn't get my hands on some rotifers and planctonic food here where i live , i decided to let them hatch in the display.

After hatch night i cheked if i could have some fierce survivers ; but i did'nt saw any yet ?

could they find some sort of a hiding spot in the display to survive ?
Or are they all been eaten :worried2:?

Next time they lay eggs i want to have the food they need .
I live quite close to the sea , would it be possible with a fine mesh net to catch them out of the sea and feed it to the youngsters ?

greetingzz tntneon :)

No unfortunately they will not survive, and it is a complicated under taking to raise the fry. If you do a search you will see it involves raising the food as well as how to set up a tank for the fry. It is very detailed and requires alot of time and experience.

They will just be free fish food.

hi tahoe 61 :) ,
sad to hear that they probably will been eaten :sad1:
I already read some topics regarding raising and hatching the fry.
I have an extra tank and enough patience to raise them i think , but the only issue is that i don't have the rotifers here to feed the fry.
I whish i could somehow extract it from the surrounding sea here .
The next couple of weeks i'm gonna search further way from home in other fish stores and on the internet where i could get some of these rotifers and plancto culture.
