Could overfeed tangs with Nori?

Could one possibly overfeed tangs with Nori? I have a saifin, purple, and lemonpeel angel. Whenever I put in a piece of Nori, the saifin will eat most of it leaving little for the purple. Should I keep adding Nori so the purple would get its share?

Thanks.

if you have a nori hog why not put two piece in so the others have a chance to eat, I put one 3 inch strip a day for my tangs. I don't think you can overfeed, all my Tangs get a bulgie stomach and stops eating the Nori.

you cant really overfeed tangs but make sure they get meats and all that good stuff too vary thier diet.

For tangs that require a high proportion of algae in their diet--not really (fairly difficult to do). Tangs that don't have high proportions of algae--yes, such as blue tangs, Paracanthurus hepatus.

Thanks for all the advice. I feed frozen mysis, brine, formula one flake and Nori. My purple just can't compete with the Saifin for food.

There is a clear feeding order when it comes to Nori in my tank. I can't even use clips. The head of the tank is the Naso, followed by sailfin, yellow, and then hippo. I feed them Nori 3x a day as a snack and they also get breakfast (NewlifeSpectrum TheraA pellets and flakes,Formula 2 pellets, and a bit of Prime Reef flakes)
dinner is the same as breakfast but I add Frozen mysis.

You actually can overfeed tangs. Most of the tangs lost (that are kept longterm) tend to die from excess fat deposits and liver failure. Hepatic lipidosis I think its called.

Its basically a combination of too much food and not enough excercise.

Hepatic lipidosis is not caused by lack of exercise. It is caused by a higher percentage of improper foods or overly fatty foods. Certain tangs that are fed too many meaty foods will eventually acquire this. The same can be true for humans as well--even physically fit ones.
