Could this be a problem with my open brain?

Got home from work this afternoon and noticed that mouth of my open brain looked funny. Upon closer inspection I notice that it was snail shell in there. I have no clue to how that snail could have gotten in there. It may have been a hermit for all I know.

Anyway, could this be a problem. Do I need to preform brain surgery to remove the shell or let the coral spit it out in due time?
