Could this be ick?

I have a purple pseudochromis that has developed 2 small white dots on the dorsal fin and one white spot on the lower tip of the tailfin. I was going to quarantine him but I cannot catch him. Tried for a hour. He is so fast, by the time I move the net he is behind the rocks. I have just 1 other fish-a tomato clown. He is totally clean. If it is ick, is there anything that can be dosed in my main tank? Help!

People have had success with cleaner shrimp and then there are others who havent. If it is ich, its recommended you QT both fish wiith hyposalinity for 6-8 weeks. What you are describing could be ich, if you could get any pictures they would help. Even though you dont see any visual signs on the clown it is possible she is still infected.

What kind of tank is it? Even if its a fish only tank I would still reccommend putting both of them into a QT. You can use traps to catch the fish. Don't feed them for a few days then put food in a trap and they will go right into it. A cleaner shrimp will help clean the fish but that's only if the fish will allow the shrimp to clean them. If it is ich the main tank will have to be fishless for about 5-6 weeks to kill off the parasite.
